Henrik Ibsen

Hello everyone! My name is Naisha, I love reading and listening to music. This year In English class I really enjoyed reading "The Alchemist" only because it taught me alot about finding my destiny in life. I think the "A Doll's House" will be about a girl and shes basically getting controlled like a Doll with the lies and secrets. The themes are probably about honesty and thats what most symbols are about in the play.
Henrik Ibsen the author of "A Doll's House" was born in Skien, Norway on March 20, 1828. His full name is Henrik Johan Ibsen. He wrote "A Doll's House" in Germany after he move there. Henrik Ibsen grew up in a small Norwegian coastal town. He was the oldest out of five children. His parents were successful. Henrik's dad was a merchants and His mom painted, love the theater, and played the piano. Ibsen was interested in becoming an artist. He started working at the age of 15, also dropped out at that age. He worked for 6 years as an apprentice in an apothecary. When Ibsen was free he painted and wrote some poetry. He died on May 23, 1906 in Norway. He had several strokes that stopped him from writing. (http://www.biography.com/people/henrik-ibsen-37014),
